WHat every visitor wants to know

We want your visit to The Church at Burns Park to be a meaningful experience.  We have compiled information that people often ask about a church.

Parking and Main Entrance

Once you turn off of W. Military Drive on to Charles Street, you will find the parking lot and the main entrance at the rear of the church building.  There is reserved handicapped parking available.

Dress is Casual

Most people at The Church at Burns Park dress casually. You will fit right in with everyone else. Our concern is not outward appearance, but exalting Christ in worship and focusing on Him.

Welcome Packet

A welcome packet with a card will be given to you.  Please take a moment to fill out the card, if you choose to do so. Sharing a bit of information will help us to get to know you better. The welcome card can be placed in the jar on top of the offering box, handed to a greeter, or given to the pastor.

Fellowship Time

Every Sunday morning we have a fellowship time at 9:00 a.m. when we serve free coffee and occasionally light refreshments. To us, the fellowship time is as much church as the worship service.  When you arrive, feel free to have a cup of coffee and a friendly chat.

Worship Service

Our Worship Service begins at 10:00 a.m.   This worship service is contemporary in nature and includes Christ- centered worship and Biblical preaching.

The Kids

A nursery is provided for infants through pre-K children. A Children’s Church is provided after the music portions of the service for children Kindergarten through 4th grade. Teens also meet together every other  on Sunday after the music portions of the service.

Offering

As a first time guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. Let the worship service be our gift to you.

Relax

Rest assured that you will not be put on the spot. We are ordinary people struggling with some of the same challenges in life as others. We are all on a spiritual learning curve and growing in our relationship with God. We are not perfect people. God is at work in our lives and He is not finished with us yet. He is teaching us to grow in Christ-likeness by His grace and power. Please join us on this spiritual journey.
